(Bedworth Amateur Show Society)
Bedworth Amateur Show Society (BASS) was established in 1973.
They regularly staged musicals at the Bedworth Civic Hall, but in recent years have been staging smaller cabaret style shows at the Exhall Old School Community Centre. The Society has also been asked to perform at parties and other occasions and has become a regular visitor to many elderly care homes where the residents love listening and joining in with songs from Old Time Music Hall, Musicals old and new, Disney, along with popular standards.
At present the singers range in age from 12-89 years old and are looking for new members to join them.
They meet on Monday evenings 7.45-9.45 at Exhall Old School Community Centre. Members are asked to pay £2 (juniors £1.50) for each meeting they attend, to cover the hiring cost of the practise room and an annual subscription of £20 (juniors £10) which goes towards costs when putting on shows, as well as social events throughout the year for members of the society.
